Objective: To be aware of artists in our time and to see how a theme or subject matter, like animals, has changed throughout art making.

Artists can choose to use their talents to push for a cause that they believe in, like raising awareness of animal abuse, illustrating near extinct animals of the rainforest, or raising money for animal shelters.

Artists send visual messages to an audience. Think about what your message may be as you choose your animal.

Choose a photograph to work with. Some of the animals in the photographs are endangered animals.

First, make your drawing large on the paper.

Next, plan what colors you will use.

Choose your colors for a bright bold effect.

(You must incorporate at least one set of complementary colors into your artwork somehow.

Then, begin to add large colors of paint. As the paint dries, you will be able to take smaller brushes and add extra, bold colored lines on top of the work for a Warhol effect.
