These student work examples are from my student teaching experience and from my position as art teacher at Treadwell Elementary School. Highlights from my work at Treadwell include:

  • RiverArtsFest Special Resources Fund grant recipient totaling $500 to bring local artist Kenneth Wayne Alexander, II. into classroom. 100 fifth grade students made Surrealist, NOVI Arts inspired art and wrote about personal symbolism.

  • The student’s artwork featured first in the slide show was awarded Best in Show at the University of Memphis exhibition “Tolerance through Art Education.”

  • Shelby County School District Memphis Advantage program partnership with the Dixon Gallery and Gardens. Included two field trips, visitor led discussions, collaborative artwork at the museum, an in-classroom artworks addressing school issues.

  • Two Donor’s Choose fully funded projects totaling $1082. $595 for project Paper: Foundation for Creativity and $487 for project Okay, Let’s Use Clay

  • Coordinated TES Fine Arts Showcase night at the school
